She recently earned her Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music as a recipient of the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship and completed her undergraduate studies in Korea.

Yoon Joo began studying piano in early childhood and has dedicated over 20 years to her musical training. She received a rigorous and competitive education in Korea, where she gained extensive performance experience and was recognized in numerous national competitions. These early achievements helped establish her as a promising young pianist, and she continued to perform actively in solo recitals, chamber concerts, and as a collaborative pianist throughout her formative years.

In addition to her performance activities, Yoon Joo has also built a strong foundation in teaching. She has taught a wide range of students in Korea, from young beginners to advanced pianists, and takes great pride in nurturing each student’s individual musical growth. Her experience as both a performer and educator informs her holistic approach to music.

Since moving to the United States, she has continued to grow as both an artist and teacher. She was a fellowship pianist at the Aspen Music Festival in 2024 and currently serves as a Teaching Assistant in both piano and vocal accompanying at Stony Brook University.
