Dongke Tu, PhD Candidate

Dongke Tu is a conductor, composer, music/sound phenomenologist and art activist. He also holds an M.A. degree in Philosophy from Duquesne University (2020), and a B.A. degree in Philosophy from Wuhan University in China (2017). Tu joined Stony Brook University in 2020 as a doctoral student in the Department of Music. His performance works and research involve experimental intersections among contemporary music (esp. orchestral, new music and world music), phenomenological/postmodern philosophy, sound art, and acoustemology.
