Graduate General Information
All Psychology Ph.D. students are required to complete relevant breadth and depth coursework, demonstrate competence in teaching, and complete the following: a second-year research project, a specialties paper in the third year, and a dissertation and successful dissertation defense. Individual areas also have additional requirements. Students making good progress complete these requirements within 5 years or less. Students in the Clinical Psychological Science program are also required to complete clinical training as well as a clinical internship that takes an additional year.
