Pawel Polak

Pawel Polak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and
Statistics at Stony Brook University. Prior to joining Stony Brook, he was a Lecturer
in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the Stevens Institute of Technology;
and an Assistant Professor in the Statistics Department at Columbia University. He
was also a Post-Doc in the same department. He received his Ph.D. from the Swiss Finance
Institute and University of Zurich. His research is on statistical learning and machine
learning methods with applications in engineering, medicine, and finance.
