She is a graduate of Columbia University with the Master Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. She is a full time faculty at the department of Electrical /Computer Engineering Technology and an active member of the Solar Energy Center at the college. Currently she serves as the co-director of the Center. She is also the Director of the Institute for Networking Systems Training and Education Programs (INSTEP) at Farmingdale.
Marj holds the Professional Engineering License in New York state. She is also a Cisco certified (CCNA). Her area of research is Renewable and Alternative energy sources. She has been employed by AT& T Information Systems, Siemens Data Switching and NEC. She has been a recipient of Rene Chasmen Affirmative action Award. She is a motivational speaker for women in Science and Engineering.
