    About the Program

The Applied Global Studies Program at Sciences Po offers students the opportunity to combine rigorous social science coursework with hands-on policy engagement during a semester in Paris. Students build a personalized academic schedule by selecting courses from the Sciences Po undergraduate exchange catalog in areas such as International Relations, Economics, and Political Science. In addition to their elective courses, participants take a dedicated seminar focused on translating academic knowledge into practical public policy solutions that address today’s global challenges. Through project-based learning, teamwork, and exchanges with practitioners, the program explores major global transformation including economic and political shifts, social inequality, environmental pressures, and urban challenges.

Students gain an international and comparative perspective on political, economic, and social issues while benefiting from Sciences Po’s strong academic environment and multidisciplinary approach. The program offers a wide range of courses, with options to study French language and academic methodology. Participants are fully integrated into student life at Sciences Po, with access to campus organizations, events, and networking opportunities. Cultural visits and activities throughout the semester allow students to explore Paris and engage more deeply with French history, culture, and everyday life. Housing is guaranteed and included in the program fee.
