Subject: Support for Your Well-Being This Holiday Season
Dear Seawolves,
The holiday season is often associated with joy, celebration, and connection. Still,
we recognize that this time of year can also feel difficult for students who may be
experiencing feelings of sadness, stress, or loneliness.
Please know that you are not alone and support is available. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is open and ready to support your mental health and well-being with compassion and
care.
You also have access to around-the-clock resources:
-
TimelyCare: Free, 24/7 virtual access to speak with a mental health counselor.
-
CAPS Crisis 24/7 Line: Call (631) 632-6720 if you are feeling distressed and need to speak to a crisis counselor.
Your well-being matters. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as
your academic success. If you are struggling or simply need someone to talk to, we
encourage you to reach out and make use of our many resources.
We are here for you.
Warm regards,
Smita Majumdar Das, Psy. D.
Executive Director of Behavioral Health and
Executive Director of Behavioral Health and
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
