Crafting Your Personal Statement as a Pre-Health Student
Date: Wednesday, March 25 at 1:00-2:00pm

Description: The personal statement is a tool that you can use to inform admission representatives who you are as a candidate and express your passion to enter your chosen graduate program. This workshop will discuss tips on how you can start the process of articulating different ideas and thoughts that you can include in your personal statement to tell admissions officers what makes you unique.
Filling Out Medical School Applications
Date: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 1:00 - 2:00pm

Description:This workshop will focus on how to fill out the application portals and the advisor
will provide resources for your chosen health graduate profession. Students will learn
how to calculate their GPAs that admission committees will look at, how to input coursework,
and what the other sections entails for primary applications.
** These workshops are only open to Stony Brook students and alumni.**
Stony Brook University is an excellent place to prepare for a future in medicine, dental medicine, and other health professions. Students pursuing health careers can major in many different disciplines, and work closely with Academic Advisors to complete the best courses in preparation for a future in healthcare.
