U.S. Federal Government Agencies & International Risk Assessments

U.S. federal  agencies are increasing efforts to identify and counter undue foreign influence in federally-funded research.   Federal agencies have implemented a variety of policies and processes for these purposes.  If you are funded by, or plan to submit a proposal to, one of these federal agencies it is important to understand the agency's disclosure requirements, prohibited activities, and risk review criteria.

Disclosure RequirementsThere has been a collaborative effort to standardize biosketches, other support and resource forms through the creation and adoption of the common forms.   Read more about specific federal agency disclosure requirements.

Prohibited Activities:  Most federal agencies prohibit participation in a Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program.  Read more about Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs and Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs

Risk Review Criteria:  Federal agencies have implemented different strategies and processes for undue foreign influence risk reviews for fundamental research.
