Art History and Criticism B.A.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to demonstrate Visual Literacy.
                                                      They will demonstrate proficiency by articulating a deep understanding of specific
                                                      art historical styles, movements, and trends by presenting or analyzing visual characteristics,
                                                      techniques and approaches.The topic of the class changes each time depending on the
                                                      instructor’s specialty.
                                                   2. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to conduct scholarly research
                                                      and to demonstrate an understanding of current art historical scholarship and academic
                                                      writing formalities. Students should be able to utilize creative and critical thinking
                                                      skills as evidenced by well-reasoned and well-researched arguments and analysis that
                                                      incorporate a level of original thought.
                                                   3. Students will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of a diverse range of
                                                      art practices, in terms of cultural, social and historical contexts, artistic influences,
                                                      styles and themes.
