 Extent, Scope, and Content Note The Louis A. Fuoco, Jr. Collection is comprised of approximately 11 cubic feet of
                                 Fuoco, Jr.'s: correspondence, committee minutes, hearing transcripts, reports, publications
                                 and maps created between 1968 and 1976. Fuoco was an insurance agent and member of
                                 the Suffolk County, New York Legislature (1970-1976). A Republican-Conservative from
                                 Patchogue, he represented the third Legislative District.

 Historical NoteLouis A. Fuoco, Jr. was born on April 4, 1928 in Bellport, New York. He moved to East
                                 Patchogue, New York, where he lived and worked throughout his life. Mr. Fuoco graduated
                                 from the Werbel Institute of Insurance, Hempstead, New York and was a Republican-Conservative
                                 member of the Suffolk County Legislature from 1970-1976, representing the third legislative
                                 district. He also owned the Louis A. Fuoco, Jr. Insurance Agency in Patchogue, New
                                 York and was part-owner with his father of the Louis A. Fuoco Bus Service in East
                                 Patchogue, New York. Fuoco was a member of the Atlantic Republican Club, the president
                                 of the Brookhaven Italian-American Services Club and a member of the Hagerman Volunteer
                                 Fire Department of East Patchogue. His wife was Josephine Fuoco and they had four
                                 children. Fuoco passed away on October 26, 2001.
