Arthur L. Kalish
With nearly six decades of experience in mathematics education, Art Kalish taught at Syosset High School for 42 years, creating two original math courses and authoring instructional materials to support diverse learners. In addition to teaching every math course offered, he coached Mathletes, led regional professional development efforts that focused on integrating technology into instruction, and contributed to Mathematics Teacher journal.
Kalish serves as Director of the Institute for Creative Problem Solving and has developed comprehensive leadership training for educators. He is a founding member of the Working Group at the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) and has served as Chief Editor of Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) since 2011. Under his editorial leadership, MOEMS contests now reach more than 120,000 students worldwide.
