AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship

One year fellowship for doctorate-level scientists and engineers to engage in full-time science policy placement in any of the three branches of the federal government in Washington, D.C.

Eligibility	Campus Nomination Details
PhD or equivalent terminal degree in biological, physical, health/medical, or social sciences OR master's in engineering plus minimum 3 years professional engineering experience U.S. citizen Degree requirements must be completed by application deadline Not a federal employee	See program website for details. Blavatnik Award for Young Scientists

Unrestricted funding for postdoctoral scholars in science and engineering fields. Stony Brook may only nominate up to 15 postdocs, who can submit only publications published during their postdoctoral tenure.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) American Fellowships

Funding for women pursuing full-time research to advance their tenure-track career prospects.
