David Scott Receives Federal Bar Association’s Excellence in Civics Education Award

Educational Leadership and Liberal Studies faculty member David Scott has been been selected to receive the Federal Bar Association’s 2017 Excellence in Civics Education Award.  In addition to teaching at Stony Brook, Mr. Scott is a licensed attorney and a social studies teacher in the Northport-East Northport School District who is dedicated to engaging with students in law-related programs that foster civic-mindedness and active participation in community and government.
