Nichole S. Prescott is assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Texas System, where she leads PK–20 student success and workforce development initiatives, with a focus on strategy, policy, data, and partnerships. A national leader in Native American higher education policy, she is also a recognized expert in educator preparation and was honored with the 2019 Friend of Education Award from the Consortium of State Organizations for Texas Teacher Education.
A proud citizen of the Miami Nation of Oklahoma (a federally recognized Tribe), Prescott is deeply engaged in Myaamia cultural and language revitalization. She serves on the Governing Council of the National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education and chairs the Stewardship and Donor Relations Committee for the Miami University Foundation Board.
Prescott holds a PhD in History from Stony Brook University, an MA in History from Miami University, and a BA in History and English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin.
