Why I Give: Danielle DeGiorgio, DO ’05

I was fortunate to have received a full athletic scholarship to Stony Brook for four years, where I was captain of the women’s basketball team. I am investing in Stony Brook because Stony Brook invested in me! I am hoping that the gift I give will afford another student athlete the opportunity to have as great an experience as I did. I feel blessed by the opportunity to give back. I know I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for the solid foundation of education I received at Stony Brook.
