Hunt's Presentation

Dr. Patrick Hunt received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Clemson University.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida.  Dr. Hunt has over ­­35 years of post-graduate plant, soil, and water research. He has worked for both the Corps of Engineers and the USDA-ARS. He is Research Leader/Director of the Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center, Florence, SC.  His research has resulted in authorship of over 250 conference proceedings, technical manuals, book chapters, and journal articles. As a result of his major accomplishments in conservation tillage, bio-energy, applied photobiology/colored mulch, livestock manure treatment systems, and both agricultural and municipal wastewater treatments, he has significant patents and numerous major awards. Awards include Fellow of four scientific societies, the ASA Environmental Quality Research Award, and the ARS Distinguished Senior Research Scientist Award.  He has helped advance the Corp of Engineers and USDA missions and impacted science and technology worldwide.
