Peter Wright, P.E. is an Agricultural Engineer in the Department of Animal Science at Cornell University. He grew up in upstate New York on a dairy farm performing manure management chores. He has worked for almost 40 years helping farms develop their manure management systems. He was the NY State Conservation Engineer for the Natural Resources Conservation Service, in charge of the engineering aspects of conservation practices with USDA. He also was a technical expert in manure management for Pro-Dairy from 1994 to 2004 supporting Anaerobic Digestion implementation. He now works part time for the Agricultural Engineering Services PLLC, and for PRO-DAIRY. Pete assists the dairy environmental engineering component of Cornell's PRO-DAIRY program, concentrating on manure management, anaerobic digestion, and environmental practices for farms. Pete has a B.S. '77 and a MEng '78 degree from Cornell in Agricultural Engineering.
