Chong is a Program Manager with National Grid in the New Energy Solutions division. In this role, he manages a geothermal project on Long Island. Drawing on several years' experience in energy efficiency, community outreach, and energy consulting, John is mainly focused on heating and cooling technologies and distributed energy resources. Before rejoining National Grid this year, John worked for 3 years for a diverse range of organizations, including ICF International where he worked as an account manager helping buildings in New York City to develop strategic roadmaps to increase energy efficiency and resiliency. John started his professional career with National Grid working on the smart grid project in Worcester, Massachusetts. John holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Policy from Clark University.
