BRASH

Michael Brookman is Founder and President of BRASH Engines, and the named inventor on the underlying BRASH combined heat and power technology. Prior to BRASH, Mike served twelve years as president of Interspiro Inc., a Connecticut-based manufacturer of compressed air respirators for firefighters. Earlier in his career, Mike served as lithium battery product manager for Saft America, and sales and marketing director for DME Corporation. Each career position has involved the development and successful introduction of new products. Mike graduated from SUNY College at Buffalo with BA/MA degrees in Chemistry.

BRASH has developed a better combined heat and power (CHP) system for homes and small businesses, based upon the NYSERDA “CHP Appliance” model. Our patented BRASH CHP is a direct retrofit for home boilers and furnaces, providing efficient heat, hot water, and year-round power, day and night! DOE and EPA both report that CHP offers the best clean energy solution for dispatchable power: an essential part of any distributed generation (DG) solution. DG also requires granularity and low capital cost, and BRASH is ready with a low cost solution scaled to the individual ratepayer. NYSERDA is defining the future of CHP and BRASH is relocating its operations to New York's Koffman Southern Tier Incubator to participate directly in this next generation of clean energy solutions.
