Tom Hoff is the Founder of Clean Power Research and President of its Research and Consulting Group. His responsibilities include maintaining the company's competitive position by setting strategic direction and goals, conducting research, and overseeing key research projects. Tom pioneered the science of valuing distributed solar generation and has written many patents in the areas of PV fleet power estimation, building performance, and holistic energy analysis. The analytical methods are integrated into the company's commercial grade software services, including WattPlan, SolarAnywhere, and PowerClerk. Tom began his career at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University's School of Engineering.
