Mark B. Florian

Mark B. Florian, Managing Director, joined First Reserve in 2008 to lead the Firm’s Infrastructure team. Before joining First Reserve, Mr. Florian was a Partner at Goldman Sachs. His 23-year Goldman Sachs career spanned a wide range of areas within the firm, including the government finance, corporate investment banking, and mergers groups. Mr. Florian was the City of Chicago’s advisor in its $1.8 billion sale of the Chicago Skyway toll bridge, advised the State of Indiana on the sale of a 75-year concession in the Indiana toll road for $3.8 billion, advised the buyer group for a $4 billion package of Mexican toll roads, and advised on the purchase of the largest port operator in North America. He has advised clients in merger transactions totaling over $25 billion, primarily for infrastructure and industrial companies. Mr. Florian holds a B.S. and B.A. degrees, Magna Cum Laude, from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
