Women's History Month Celebration
Gender Equity March & Resource Fair
Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 | 12:00 PM -2:30 PM | Student Activities Center, Outdoor Plaza and Ballroom A

Join us for a Women’s History Month Celebration on March 4, 2026, from 12:00–2:30 PM, hosted in the SAC Plaza and SAC Ballroom A. This event centers the 2026 Women’s History Month theme, “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future,” and highlights collective action, leadership, and community engagement. The program will begin with a keynote address by Chanel Lopez, Deputy Director of LGBTQ+ Affairs for the NYS Executive Chamber under Governor Kathy Hochul, from 12:00–12:50 PM. Following the keynote, participants are invited to take part in a Gender Equity March, with a route beginning at the SAC Plaza, continuing to the fountains, and returning to the SAC. From 1:00–2:30 PM, attendees can explore a Resource Fair in SAC Ballroom A, featuring campus departments, student organizations, and community partners whose work aligns with this year’s theme. The resource fair will also include an interactive activity designed to deepen engagement with the theme, with an opportunity for participants to win a giveaway item. All are encouraged to attend, learn, and take part in advancing gender equity and sustainability together.
