at the Stony Brook Renaissance School of Medicine. She is also Program Leader for the Imaging, Biomarker
Discovery and Engineering Sciences (IBES) Research Program of the Stony Brook Cancer

Dr. Devinder Mahajan, is a professor in the Department of Material Science and Chemical Engineering. He

Dr. Arie Kaufman Wins 2024 Test of Time Award for Supercomputing
Dr. Arie Kaufman, distinguished professor in the Department of Computer Science, has been
honored with the SC24 Test of Time Award (TOTA) for supercomputing for his seminal

Mission Statement
The Stony Brook University Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI-SBU) has been established (i) to recognize the contributions of academic inventors across all disciplines in the Stony Brook University community, (ii) enhance the visibility of university technology and academic innovation, (iii) encourage the disclosure of intellectual property, (iv) educate and mentor innovative students, and (v) translate the inventions of its members to benefit society.
