| Global Forum Series Highlights Global Sites

 This fall the Global Forum series explored four of Stony Brook's global sites: the Turkana Basin Institute (TBI) in Kenya; St. Petersburg, Russia; SUNY Korea;
                                    and Florence and Rome, Italy. Picture: Drs. Isaiah Nengo, Fotis Sotiropoulos, Richard Leakey, Jun Liu, and Jason
                                    Lewis at the TBI Global Forum. One of the highlights from this semester's Global Forums included hearing from famed paleoanthropologist and TBI founder Richard Leakey
                                    and other Stony Brook faculty about the facilities, cutting edge research, and opportunities
                                    for both students and faculty in Kenya. Participants at the St. Petersburg, Russia
                                    Forum were treated to a brief history of the October Russian Revolution on its 100th
                                    anniversary while learning about Stony Brook's site in St. Petersburg, and a representative
                                    from Florence University of the Arts described student life in the heart of Tuscany.
                                     All students attending the Global Forums were entered in a raffle for a $500 scholarship to a study abroad program
                                    in the highlighted country. Videos from the Global Forum series can be viewed on the Global Affairs website.
