Doctoral candidate Sarah Fisher Davis studies contemporary Anglophone & American literature,
                           as well as film and graphic narratives, within the context of the interdisciplinary
                           environmental humanities. With graduate certificates in Women's, Gender, & Sexuality
                           Studies and Writing, she focuses on how the rhetoric and representation of gender,
                           embodiment, and ecology relate to one another and to geopolitical and social justice
                           issues. Her dissertation project is entitled, "Dosimetric Aesthetics: Detecting Radiation
                           in Contemporary U.S. Film & Literature." Sarah earned her B.A. in History Education
                           & English from Gardner-Webb University and her M.A. in English from UNC Charlotte.
