Lars Thaaning Pedersen co-founded Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) in 2015, a leading offshore wind development and construction management company. COP works exclusively for Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on their 6,000 MW global offshore wind development portfolio in the US, Canada, Taiwan, and Australia. Mr Pedersen is also the CEO of the Vineyard Wind JV currently developing offshore wind projects off the coast of Massachusetts, and he in 2017 relocated to Boston to open COPs US office. Prior to founding COP, Mr. Pedersen held executive positions at DONG Energy (now Ørsted), being responsible for the Project Development, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Asset Management business units. Mr. Pedersen has been involved in more than 10 offshore wind projects in Europe since 2008, and has significant experience in development, construction and operations of offshore wind farms. Mr. Pedersen holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
