Within the energy, construction and engineering sectors, Gene brings 20 years of experience in general and executive management for four Fortune 500 NYSE listed companies. In 2008, he launched an enterprise group focused on emerging opportunities in the renewable space with a particular focus on Renewable Generation development, investment and operations
His experience includes divisional CEO roles with EMCOR Group (NYSE:EME), KeySpan Energy (NYSE/KSE), and UtiliCorp United (NYSE/ILA) and various management roles for SCANA Corp. (NYSE/SCG). Past assignments also include multi-billion dollar acquisitions and leading edge efforts in the deregulated, competitive environment including building several profitable multinational subsidiaries to over a billion dollars in sales from start up.
Gene has acted as an expert witness on integrated resource planning and on the successful siting of new generation facilities throughout North America and has lectured globally on energy management, operations, marketing, deregulation and competition, including the keynote address to the Australian Parliament on Building Retail Competitive Choice in National Industries.
He has been recognized by Edison Electric Institute and the American Gas Association with national awards for business vision, revenue enhancement, operational excellence and marketing achievement and was named to World Generation Magazine’s Class of 2002. Gene also serves on the Board of Director’s of Heath Consultants Incorporated and is active with many charities and civic organizations at the executive level.
He received his Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of South Carolina.
Gene is a northeastern native and currently lives with his wife Deborah and their two children on Long Island.
