Principal Strategy Analyst, New Energy Solutions Group
Karsten Barde helps lead product strategy and development for National Grid's New Energy Solutions group, focused on new product offerings for customer-owned generation (e.g. solar), electric vehicles, and energy storage. He is passionate about turning ideas into action and thrilled to be part of a company creating the utility of the future. Previously, Karsten developed and managed programs for Pacific Gas & Electric, working in the Energy Procurement and Smart Grid organizations on implementation of state energy and climate policy. He helped launch California's carbon trading program and obtained funding for advanced grid technology projects in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Karsten lives in the Boston area and holds an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth.
