Thomas Congdon
Thomas Congdon is currently the Deputy Secretary for Energy in the administration of Governor David A. Paterson. Mr. Congdon has served in the Executive Chamber since February 2007. As the Chairman of the New York State Energy Planning Board, Mr. Congdon oversaw the development of the 2009 State Energy Plan. Mr. Congdon also serves on the Board of the New York Smart Grid Consortium. Previously, Mr. Congdon served as a policy analyst in the New York State Attorney General’s Environmental Protection Bureau. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, he was the policy director at the New York League of Conservation Voters. Mr. Congdon received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University at Albany and his Master of Public Administration from Baruch College.
