Mr. Van Zandt joined GE Energy in 1990. In his current role as Software Products Manager, Mr. Van Zandt leads the development and marketing of Energy Application and Systems Engineering’s (EA&SE) commercial software products – PSLF, MAPS, and MARS. In addition to leading the commercial software group, Mr. Van Zandt provides strategic direction for the engineering software applications used by the consulting group. Mr. Van Zandt is a key researcher for DSTAR (www.dstar.org), a consortium of utilities jointly funding distribution systems research. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Van Zandt was the DSTAR Program Manager and had the overall responsibility for the management of the DSTAR program and all of its research activities. Mr. Van Zandt holds a BSEE from Cornell University and an MSEPE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Van Zandt is a registered Intern Engineer and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He also is the GE representative for the T&D stem of PSERC.
