Thomas D. Peterson

Mr. Peterson founded CCS to assist governments and their stakeholders with climate change policy development, implementation and consensus building. He also teaches Climate Law and Policy at the Pennsylvania State University School of Law. Mr. Peterson has been involved in the design and direction of 22 state climate action plans and has led regional and national policy initiatives, and international capacity building. He previously represented the White House and U.S. Senate on climate issues and has held numerous policy and management posts over the past 27 years. He holds a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Economics from the College of William and Mary; a Master of Environmental Management with a concentration in Natural Resource Economics and Policy from Duke University; and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
