Satyen Mukherjee is currently Chief Scientist and Senior Director at Philips Research North America, Briarcliff Manor, New York, after serving as the ad interim managing director of Philips Research North America. Prior to this he served as the Department Head, Microelectronic Devices, Circuits and Systems at Philips Research, where he was responsible for research on power electronics, integrated circuit design, technology and applications for a number of systems including lighting control systems, electronic ballasts for fluorescent lighting, flat panel displays and wireless communications. Dr. Mukherjee’s current areas of interest include lighting controls systems and building wide energy management systems including HVAC and appliances. He has delivered several invited presentations in these areas in conferences.
