Carl E. Meyer











Carl E. Meyer is President & Chief Operating Officer of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, a regulated T&D utility serving the Hudson Valley region of New York State. He is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electric Power Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New York State. 

Mr. Meyer currently chairs the executive committee of the New York State Transmission Assessment & Reliability Study (“STARS”), a joint study being conducted by all of the New York State transmission owners to study the state’s bulk power system. The objective of the study is to undertake a thorough assessment of the transmission system, to address aging infrastructure, ensure the reliability of the power system, support the growth of renewable energy sources, and to identify and prioritize long-range plans for coordinated investment in the state’s power infrastructure.
