Gail's Presentation

As Vice President for Programs, Gail Richardson works with EV President Joanna Underwood in developing and managing programs of research and outreach to engage municipal officials and fleet owners in the NYC metropolitan area to explore alternative fuel options and take steps to shift heavy duty fleets to natural gas as a first, crucial step on the path to sustainable fuel. Dr. Richardson also directs research on biomethane vehicle fuel, including an exploration of biomethane opportunities in NYC and a study of biomethane pioneers in the US.  

Dr. Richardson graduated summa cum laude in English from Cornell University, earned a master’s in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and received her doctorate in political science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She has taught at The City College of New York and the American University in Rome, Italy. She is an experienced researcher and nonprofit program director, and is the author of numerous technical reports and articles written for lay audiences.
