Our Swimming Pool
Stony Brook University reopened its renovated swimming pool on May 15, 2017.
The pool is located in the Sports Complex across from the Recreation & Wellness Center.
With a maximum depth of 13 feet, six 25-yard lanes, and several competition diving boards, the reconstructed pool facility features an enhanced automated mechanical system that includes remote monitoring to aid in pool maintenance, and an updated air conditioning system with multi-season climate control. To accommodate Seawolves fans, new bleachers expand seating capacity to 260 while keeping accessibility in mind.
"The University Pool is about our campus and our pride," Director of Athletics Shawn Heilbron said. "We have a historic legacy here. My hope is that this new addition to our campus will allow our students and alumni to really enjoy our Swimming and Diving tradition moving forward."
Pool Membership Fees

Graduate Students: $16.00 per month
Faculty/Staff: $21 per month
Partner/Spouse/Alumni: $26.50 per month
Open swim will be available Monday-Friday at the times listed below:
8am-10:15am
11am-1:30pm
7pm-9pm
