Student Activities Center Outdoor Spaces

 

SAC Plaza

Located in front of the Student Activities Center, the Plaza is a great space to host outdoor events. To ensure the quality of events we provide, a rain location or rain date must be assigned in connection with any event using the Plaza. A rain call will be made, in writing, 24 hours prior to the event. A rain call states whether the event will be held outdoors as planned or if the event will use the rain location/rain date instead.

The SAC Plaza is further separated into the SAC Plaza Circle, which is the area directly in front of the doors to the Student Activities Center, and the SAC Academic Mall which is the area between the SAC and the Library. Guests can reserve either of these smaller locations, or the SAC Plaza in its entirety.

 

For safety concerns, the facility retains the right to cancel any outdoor event using electrical power due to inclement weather.

Available Resources:

• 2 pieces of staging against the side of the building
• 6 6ft tables (1 rack)
• Up to 30 maroon chairs (1 rack)
• Electrical outlets (limited)

Any needs beyond the above described must be rented. All costs associated will be charged to the event organizer.

SAC Sculpture Garden

Located adjacent to the Ballrooms and Auditorium the Sculpture Garden is a beautiful, outdoor location well-suited to host receptions and cocktail parties. It has several picnic tables on a slated entrance foyer and steps leading to a slightly elevated, grass courtyard.

• Picnic Tables (7 Tables)
• Electrical outlets (limited)

Any needs beyond the above described must be rented. All costs associated will be charged to the event organizer.
